Bakhit Al-Amari began his journey on foot on January 1, 2024, which is approximately 2,500 km, starting from the city of Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, heading to Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Al-Amari aims through this trip to motivate people to take up walking, in addition to learning about the customs and traditions present in the areas he passes through, which deepens knowledge and exploration. It is known that the Omanis used to go to Hajj on foot, which took months, and they were going through many troubles because of the lack of main services in the areas they were passing through, which were mostly barren desert.

Al-Amari says that these trips stopped about 70 years ago, and thus he has revived a great heritage that had almost disappeared.

It is worth noting that such trips strengthen relations between peoples and reacquaint themselves with the different regions

through which travelers pass.
