Focus on Africa is the first Italian publication of a pure editorial initiative dedicated to the African continent.
Conceived and founded by Antonella Napoli, published by Chiara Cavallo, the magazine (online and print) offers an overview of Africa, indeed of Africa, from its problems to development prospects, thanks to a dense network of correspondents and collaborators and offers analyzes and news of experts and profound connoisseurs of African issues, operating in Italy, Europe and in the field.

A magazine open to collaborations, which reflects the passion and deep respect of its animators for the African continent.

Antonella Napoli

Journalist and analyst of international issues, she has collaborated and collaborates with important national newspapers, such as Repubblica, Vanity Fair, Limes, Huffington Post, Internazionale, Left, Avvenire, Espresso.

She is an Africanist expert and she has written articles and reports on Algeria, Botswana, Uganda, Congo, Sudan, South Sudan, the Central African Republic and many other African states and crisis areas such as Western Sahara and the Sahel. She have also made investigations and documentaries in and on the Middle East and Asia, visiting and talking about countries such as Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Burma and India.

She  have traveled and spent long periods in most of these countries recounting and denouncing forgotten humanitarian emergencies and human rights violations. She is the author of various essays and books, including the best seller “My name is Meriam”, (Edizioni Piemme) translated into 7 languages and published in 8 countries.

Winner of numerous journalistic awards, she was awarded the Medal of Representation of the Presidency of the Republic in 2011 for the photographic reportage “Faces and colors of Darfur”.

Chiara Cavallo

Always in the field of strategic communication, business communication, fundraising and marketing. You have carried out international communication campaigns including the promotion of Made in Italy in Russia and the United States for the Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE). She managed the communication and press office for the Nobel Peace Summit in 2006, 2007, 2008. She created Samia Nkrumah’s online communication for her first candidacy for the Ghanaian parliament. Until 2016 she was the communications manager of the Bambino Gesù Hospital. Currently, she is the marketing and communications manager of the P & P Advisory and Glohm s.r.l. group.
