Sudan: Madani organizes a stand for the rights of women and girls

The Gender Equality Network in Madani Town implemented, at 11:00 am today, a campaign to combat violence against women and girls, as the network called on all human rights defenders and women’s organizations to unify efforts to eliminate violence against women and girls and demand the enactment of laws that punish those who attack them. It is worth noting that the participants in the vigil raised banners calling for a future free of violence. This activity carried out within the 16 Days of Activism against violence against women and girls (VAWG) . It is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
