COVID-19, Number of Cases Rising Rapidly in South Africa. 116,000 Cases in the Continent.

Latest update on the spread of the coronavirus in Africa. The number of overall confirmed cases has risen to 115,980 in the 54 countries in Africa. According to data collected by Covid19-Africa, the numbers continue to rise rapidly in South Africa, the country that has been hardest hit by the outbreak, with 23,615 confirmed cases, followed by Egypt (17,967), Algeria (8,503), Nigeria (8,068), Morocco (7,532), Ghana (6,808), Cameroon (5,044), Sudan (3,820), Guinea (3,322) and Senegal (3,130). The countries with the least cases Namibia (21), the Seychelles (11) and Lesotho (2). In total there have been 3,482 deaths and 46,590 recoveries.
